Car description

Restored 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

I have enjoyed my 5 year restoration of this beautiful classic car – similar to the one I had as a kid.

Purchased in 2013 with 105K miles, non-running and needing full resto I have since put in countless hours and over $50K into this project. Now complete and approaching 2K enjoyable miles on the rebuild it’s ready for a new owner and I’m onto my next project.

Details;

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with professionally rebuilt (030 bored + mild cam) 383 Magnum V8 engine, Holley 4160 4 barrel carb, 4 speed manual transmission with Hurst pistol grip.

Manual steering, disc brakes, bucket seats, rally gauges, factory tachometer, custom paint, no A/C, 17X7 anthracite aluminum wheels with 215/50R17s front and 235/60R17s on rear. Most every component has been purchased new or rebuilt + zero rust and all new welded floorpans.

No surprises here! Below and photos highlight all known issues:

· Driver’s side back window regulator clicks when rolling the window up.

· Passenger side interior door cover has screws on the lower part of the door to help hold cover in place.

· Hinges are new but additional hood adjustment may be needed to ensure perfect alignment.

· Grill assembly has a slight indentation on the lower flat surface.

· Chrome wheel well trim had to be shaved slightly on the interior portion for turning clearance.

· The A-833 4 speed transmission was not rebuilt - there is a small weep emitting from the reverse operating lever. Drivability is unaffected.

· Interior seats, springs and upholstery are original with typical wear, but still in decent condition.

· Dash is cracked.

· Small paint imperfections; front right fender door, swirls are visible in the black roof paint.

· Small paint cracks; hood near the letter “E”, trunk lip, leading upper edge of the passenger door.

· No spare tire or jack.
