1965 Dodge Coronet A990 Dale Reed 528 HemiThis 1965 Dodge Coronet A990 with 528 HEMI screams catch me if you can! And with only 8 miles on this screamin meemie since completion. you will be chasing her for a long. long time. While a dozen radically altered Satellites and Coronets were barnstorming the country in the new FX wars. 101 specially-built Dodge Hemi Coronets were busy ruling over the competition in Super Stock. Equipped with either a race-ready TorqueFlite automatic or an A833 Hurst-shifted four speed. the specially designated A990 Coronets used acid-dipping (euphemistically labeled "chemical milling" by the factory) to sidestep class restrictions on fiberglass parts. The process resulted in a 60 percent weight saving in the hood. doors. front bumper and fenders. Our clients 1965 dodge coronet 2 door sedan was stripped. media blasted. and primed with PPG dp90. All body work is done and car is laser straight . painted PPG Viper Red. with Champagne interior. The car has correct A100 van seats with correct aluminum seat brackets. All interior is new and done by Danny Romo of Irwindale. Dash gauges were sent to Redline instruments and rebuilt. Dash was rechromed. all like new. Rear has been mini tubed and has New Dana 60 rear end powder coated gloss black with 411 posi gears. Rebuilt 727 automatic trans with Gear Vender overdrive. Great on the freeway! Motor is a Dale Reed 528 hemi. Mopar perf. Siamese block with aluminum heads and A & A cross ram with Holley 770 cfm carbs. New Holley hy-flow fuel pump and new 3/8 fuel lines. New fuel galvanized fuel tank and 3/8 sending unit. Comp cams camshaft with hydraulic lifters. Fluidamper harmonic balancer. Mellings hi-volume oil pump. milodon deep sump oil pan. Mopar perf. . Aluminum hi-volume water pump. Stage 5 polished valve covers. Correct date code 4 core radiator with fan shroud and 6 blade fan. Disc brakes on all four corners. new master cylinder and brake lines. All new front end ball joints and bushing from Energy systems. upper and lower A arms were rebuilt and powder coated. new Tri City leaf springs. correct K frame also powder coated . New American Racing torque thrust wheels. 7"x15" on front and 10"x15" on rear with Micky Thompson tires. Wiring harness replaced with new from M&H electric fabricators. Car has 8 miles since being finished and is an amazing street beast at its best. All new chrome. single head light ANO-BRITE grille. new door and window handles.
