Car description |

1965 Dodge Coronet A/FX Drag Car. Street Legal and Tagged/Insured.
Car was originally a rust-free California Car and was altered in CA with the help of Rich LeFevre. Rich has built several of these cars and really knows how to lay it down. This car was assembled as a roller here in PA with the help of friends who also run AWB Mopars. This car was built very well, and care was given to every aspect of the assembly. We assembled this car next to Rich's "The Performance King" Plymouth.
The car is equipped with a 1968 440 HP motor, rebuilt completely. The motor was machined, built, and dyno tested by J.B.R.E. (Jim Bowen Racing Engines) out of Glen Rock PA. The motor was freshened last winter, and only has 1 season on the motor (<25 passes). The car has a 727 automatic transmission with a reverse manual valve body, shifting with a floor shifter. It has a 4.56 posi rear end. Fuel is delivered to the Holley 950 HP carburetor with a Holley Electric Blue Fuel Pump. This motor runs on VP-110 racing fuel. Please view the images to see the dyno sheet as well as parts list. This motor makes 600 HP and Torque.
The paint is fantastic on this car, but has been subjected to some minor chips/cracking at the corners of the hood, and on the center of the hood-scoop. This car truly is show-class. The lettering is all hand-painted with one-shot sign enamel by Hot Rod Jen. These letters can be removed by the new owner with oven-cleaner.
The car has ran consistently in the high 10s - low 11s. This car is all steel, no fiberglass. Interior is unfinished, but I do have a re-chromed dash bezel as well as some other interior parts that can go with it. The headliner is installed & trim around it. Glass is in good shape.
Car runs great, and is always the talk of the track & street.
