Car description |
---|
1946 Dodge Powerwagon, it was the 3rd truck to roll off the California production line. Lowest serial number truck currently known to exist on powerwagon registry. Was purchased new by a mining company in California until brought to the midwest a few years ago. Combat rims are date code correct for truck. The serial number on frame matches door tag.
I purchased this truck last fall, but have too many other projects right now. I installed new brake wheel cylinders and hoses, fan belt, radiator hose, battery, spark plugs. The motor starts and runs very smooth, drives like a powerwagon, stops, transmission shifts good. I've driven locally and took to a nearby car show where it drew a lot of attention. The truck does have some dents and dings, but is a solid survivor. Transfer case needs to be resealed. The drivers side door is solid but hinge needs some work. The original color was green and I have a nice fender/headlight for passenger side that goes with it. The box is correct for year and in great shape. It has a PTO winch front bumper, but no PTO on the transmission. I have the grill insert for a non winch bumper that goes with truck, along with all 4 shocks currently not installed. It also has a set of locking WARN hubs. The frame is tight and in great shape, surface rust only. This truck spent most of its life in California high country before coming to the Midwest so the body has only light surface rust. There's no rot to fix on this truck, door bottoms and back of cab are solid. This truck is a great candidate for restoration or would make a good driver with a little TLC.
I have a clear title in my name. Please message me with any additional questions. Truck is also for sale locally. Please do not bid unless you understand exactly what your getting, please ask questions.
