WELCOME to NAMCmopar's on-line store! 1969 Dodge Charger 383 4bbl car, original rebuilt engine with upgraded transmission. Wheels are not stock, as you can see and there's been performance upgrades here at NAMCmopar to add Firm Feel, Inc. front suspension. Car sports new carpet, new seat covers, new headliner, new seat belts and a new vinyl top was installed about 6 years ago. Owner saved the original transmission and set it aside, buyer can option that to be shipped separate as additional expense.Car's original engine has been completely rebuilt and runs strong. It's currently having start up issues due to Oregon's famous bad gas, which is so typical to these awesome rides that sit too long waiting for a buzz in the sun... so we are thinking the carb needs to be removed and cleaned (we've seen this so many times here at the shop!) needle jets are probably gummed with a petro-jelly substance. But rest assured! Owner drove car to the shop for listing 20 miles. We drove the car around the block to check it out! Car drives nice, stops good. It's just experiencing high idle after slow "I don't wanna" start. Eventually kicks down...

WHY IS OWNER SELLING? Here's his story and it's a good one!
"My parents bought this Charger in 1987. It was the General Lee in all of its glory and I, as a small boy was obsessed with it. The Dukes of Hazzard was still on television! Me being 7 or 8 years old and owning the General Lee was waaaay cool! Around 1993 my parents reluctantly decided to sell "my" General Lee to my Uncle Dave. That was a sad day for me. I always hoped one day maybe I could buy it back... finally the day came when Uncle Dave needed some money.
In 2007 he called me saying he had a buyer and the General was to be sold! Getting together what savings I had I bought it back without hesitation having no idea it's condition? I figured I could spend a little money and just get it running and enjoy it again. OOPS! It was in way worse condition than I suspected or remembered!
The Charger was abused, as the saying goes, he rode it hard and put her away wet! And so the restoration plans began. I had no idea about cars or the costs associated with a full restoration - that's something that typically hits you in the face. I just wanted it back and running. Since most of the General Lee's paint was worn away, I decided to start working to restore it back to factory specifications. This Charger has had and a long journey.
For the past 30 plus years it's been in my family and for the past 12 years it's been stored in my garage during the restoration process. It's not been driven enough and that's sad. I bought it before I met my wife, we've been together about 10 years now and the money I used on the restoration was gathered by selling my amazing childhood collections of Star Wars collectibles, Transformer collectibles and anything I could picked up at garage sales as a kid. I had saved all this stuff with the idea I could turn it into bigger money some day in the future... With some encouragement from my wife (Ok, a lot of encouragement, she wants the garage back!) I contacted NAMCmopar to help me take the next step... I am now ready to move on and give someone else joy of owning this awesome car."
