Up for sale is this running, driving 1972 Dodge Tradesman B100 V8 Boogie Surf Mystery Machine van. It has the original 318 that is running great! It shifts flawlessly. It stops great. Wheels look nice; all glass is good, tires have a little better than 50% of life left. AND it's a '72 so NO PASSING SMOG IN CA EVER!! Yay! Mileage reads around 35,300 but it has probably flipped. All, or nearly all electrics work- dome lights, map lights, head lights, turn signals, brake lights- all of it. A couple of the gauges work, a couple do not. Has aftermarket tach that might work, currently not hooked up. AC blows, but needs charging- has not been modernized. Separate AC in rear also blows. Exhaust looks to be fairly freshly redone. Engine hits a nice throaty note. It has a 3-on-the-tree manual transmission, I believe it's the classic A903 transmission. Oh yeah! Has CD player and speakers work for highway tunes!! CD player was acting up yesterday- if I can sort it out before sale I will, no promises though. Original floor jack is in the back door. Luggage rack looks to be original equipment, rear sunroof cranks open just fine for air flow back there. Carpet and interior isn't too bad, is all there, somewhat aged but totally not bad for a 40-something year old survivor car. Seat covers have a couple of nicks and wear but those aren't really too bad either. See pics for more details. Windshield is really good- perfect except for one very small chip that has no cracking. This van features a super groovy ice box cooler installed with drain tubes, and all three seats swivel inwards for cool hangs with buddies, babes, beaus, companions of your choice. Has the usual rust around the roof rail you see on all these that haven't been gone through, some rust bubbling around wheel wells on the fender. The worst spot is on the driver's side A pillar. See pictures. You could address the rust issues or drive it around as-is for a long, long time. Please see pictures and examine carefully to avoid surprises when you get this van. The only mechanical issue I'd anticipate getting to at some point in the future is tuning carb/valve timing, etc- I just drove this van a few hours on the highway the other day and it does occasionally backfire. Belts are tight, wheel alignment is good, she really purrs, as-is, for a van of this vintage. Clean title, ready for signature. Asking $5000 obo or will consider partial trade for Vintage Mopar Muscle cars or Vintage guitars/amps. In a week I will list this on Ebay- you know what these types of vans go for on there so get it while it's local. Cash, please. Ask any questions prior to auction's end. Buyer will have to arrange shipping if you're not picking it up locally; I'm happy to work/cooperate with any shipping service you choose. $500 deposit due within 24 hours, the rest within 7 days. Happy to keep it for you for a finite amount of time till you can arrange pickup.
