Car description

FOR SALE! 1971 Dodge Demon! This car runs and drives, starts and stops! The previous owner said this car has never been rusted or crashed!
The Dodge Demon is iconic! I have been having a blast driving this one this Spring and Summer! The 340 V8 engine starts easily and runs well. (yes, the car is a factory LL29C1B*** and was born with a 6 cylinder) When you are driving and enjoying the car, that means nothing! :) Has an Edelbrock 1406 Carburetor. The car has a floor shift automatic transmission with an aftermarket floor mount shifter. (born as a column shift) The transmission shifts smoothly and works in forward, reverse, and all gears. The rear end is an 8 3/4" Mopar rear. (I do not know the ratio)
The car does not leak any fluids on the floor of my garage. The radiator holds and the car does not overheat. The dual exhaust exits out the rear. It sounds cool! The car goes down the road straight and does not pull in either direction! It has power steering. The manual brakes work well and it has relatively new tires. Has 14" A-Body Mopar Rallye rims with the correct 1971 center caps.
The car is complete as shown. The odometer shows 69,203 miles. (possibly 169k but I doubt it) It has a clear title and keys.
The body is straight and solid. I was TOLD the car has never been rusted or crashed. I took a ton of pics (but could only upload 24 to ebays page) The car is painted ORANGE which is awesome! (looks more red but is still orange) It looks like it was born in Plum Crazy Purple if you look underneath the carpet. It has a correct 1971 "Go Wing" Spoiler on the trunk and dual hood scoops on the front. Vinyl top is in place and looks good. Chrome/stainless trim is all present and not coming off. It has its original grille which is not all busted up. Chrome bumpers are in place. (look decent. The whole car would look even nicer with a wax/polish/detail job!
The trunk floor is solid. The spare tire well is solid! (I had a Demon in 1989 that had a giant hole in the spare tire well) This one is nice! The bumper jack and spare tire are in the trunk. The frame rails are solid. (I took pics) The front floors are solid.
Interior is complete and looks respectable. Car would look nicer with new carpet as it was modified when the previous owner installed the shifter. I took a number of pics. Check them out! Glass does not have any cracks or breaks. The headliner does not have any holes. The dash pad is not cracked. All the gauges work. The dash lights work, Speedometer is very close if not spot on accurate. Door panels are in place as well as the front and rear seat belts.
The car goes down the road well and everything works! The windshield wipers work, after market in dash radio works, headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and everything! This car is a REAL PLEASURE to drive!
Has a clean clear title in my name with 2 sets of keys. It does not have a fender tag and I never looked for a build sheet. I have been driving this car A LOT this Spring and Summer and it is a real pleasure to drive. It turns heads and people always take pictures on the highway and at the gas station!
Negatives... not many. The 340 runs and moves out but could be fine tuned. It has a cam but seems to hesitate slightly when you get the RPMs higher. I think it has a mild cam. I have been running 93 Octane fuel in the car. Driving it normally and it performs just fine. This is me being fussy. The body has some VERY minor bubbling on the low rear quarter panels. (nothing serious and you gotta look close to see it) It has some scratches here and there and could use a good polish job.
This car is an absolute blast to drive! It turns heads everywhere it goes. I have had it at a couple car shows and turned down a few people that asked me to sell it. I wanted to have some fun enjoying it for a while before I ever offered it for sale.

If you are looking for a running driving car, that you can enjoy, this may be the perfect car for you. It is not perfect, it is not flawless, it is not a 100 point show car. If that is what you are looking for, this is not the car for you. IF you would enjoy a real deal vintage Mopar muscle car, that you can drive and truly enjoy, you may REALLY love this car! There is no guarantee on anything mechanical that is 40+ years old but I would personally not be afraid to drive this car anywhere!
Has a reasonable reserve. Think about this... you could buy a project for $5-$10K that needs paint, metal work, and every aspect of the car needing tlc. (exhaust, brakes, engine, transmission, interior, glass, etc... you get the idea) Would take thousands and thousands of dollars and years of your life. Skip all that and get into a car you can drive and enjoy right now!
Car is located in Fond du Lac, WI (approx. 1 hour north of Milwaukee, approx. 2 1/2" hours north of Chicago) You are responsible for pickup. I can gladly help a shipper with loading if necessary. . I took many pics and have nothing to hide. You may gladly look at the car in person if you like.
$500 deposit due within 24 hours of listing close. Full payment is due upon pickup. Payment must be cleared before I release the car. I hope you truly enjoy this car and give it a great new home! These are getting super hard to find and the Demon is an iconic Dodge car that people LOVE! The A-Body Mopar cars are a blast to drive and seem to keep going up in value! Dont miss this! We have a long summer left to enjoy it! I can text more pics if need at 920 9609079 thanks! Dan
