Car description |
---|
This is a car that you rarely see offered for sale any more, it is a well documented original 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona powered by a 440 CID Magnum Big Block Chrysler Wedge Engine. The 375 Horsepower Output is fed years through an Automatic Transmission to a Chrysler produced 8 3/4 Inch Axle with a final drive Ratio of 3.55:1. reezr What also is "Rare" (Unique) about this car is that it has been in a virtual "time capsule" since being taken off the road by an accident in 1979, almost 40 years ago. The restoration will benefit from the many advancements made in the area of motor vehicle repair, such as Laser Alignment, removing dents and warpage from sheetmetal, and even locating scarce NOS (New Old Stock) Original parts, like the selection of parts I gathered for the Daytona during my thirty years of ownership, including two items thought to be "Unobtainium", a NOS Steel Nose Cone assy, and a NOS single piece Galvanized Daytona Front Valance... Both are NOS Original Parts made "Back-in-the-Day".
The Daytona is currently being extracted from it's "deep freeze" forty year storage. Please have a look at the two dozen photos included in this listing, and ask any questions that you would like answered... I will try my best! The Daytona's VIN Number, XX29L9B355148, is crystal clear on the VIN Plate on the Dash, as well on the fender tag in the engine bay, the broadcast sheet (yes, the correct one was found and returned to the original car), and of course the State of Texas Vehicle Title.
I will update this listing and the included photos after this listing is started....
