Oh Man! Time flies!
This 1993 Dodge panel truck was purchased new from McDermott Dodge on Whaley Avenue in New Haven CT in November of 1993. It is a one owner van that ran auto parts in the Hartford area for much of the 1990s through the mid 2000s. It is a 4 cylinder engine with a manual transmission, it was good on gas, has a short wheel base and was fun to drive.
It has a clear title (somewhere) so will be sold with a bill of sale only as CT does not require one for vehicles of this age. This van that I remember as brand new is now antique status! Yikes. It has sat for several years and I had it towed to a local mechanic who looked it over and told me it could be brought back. It would need brakes, tires, tuneup, belts, hoses, a new battery (doesnt have one) he told me, and then we dont know how the clutch would be, timing belt etc. and advised me not to start.
But if someone has a mechanical background this little van is a worthy project. Its ugly! And has been sitting for several years. It rolls freely. I have paid to have it towed TWICE now at $75 each because I didnt want to see it go to the junk yard and believe there is a lot of life left in it. With a battery and fresh gas I have little doubt it would start right up. I am guessing it has about 115-120,000 miles. Might be a little less or a little more. Its not in front of me though.
It has gray vinyl seats that are still in good shape. She has some rust. There are a few companies that make aftermarket panels. Anyhow, the Ebay commission on vehicles is about $50 or $100 or so for low cost vehicles. I have past towing expenses too. This was a handy little van to have. But know that it needs work now. I have the key for this van. Its a valet key that I was lucky to find after all this time. It was parked on pavement for many years, so I think that helped. Its sold as-is, at $677 or best offer (but worth the $677, just sayin') You would need to bring a flatbed. The phone number shown on this van has been inactive for many years. Im happy to answer your questions here.
If you buy it I will not take Paypal for the entire purchase but a Paypal $100 deposit is due within 24 hours. Payment is due in full within 7 days, cash or bank check. Van goes nowhere until it is paid in full with adequate time for a check to clear. Must be removed within 14 days of Ebay sale end. Storage fee of $10 per day thereafter.
Thanks for looking
