Car description |
---|
The perfect platform for your Gasser or Max Wedge Tribute project! Nice wheels and decent tires. Most interior trim parts are there (see pictures). Original 318 V8 engine and automatic transmission.
Rust in floor pan has undergone an amateur repair, and should probably be redone. Same for the trunk floor and rear quarters-- although all appear salvageable. Headliner needs replaced.
Plan on bringing a trailer or using a shipper. Although the Polara adequately runs, drives, shifts, stops and is licensed, it is not currently roadworthy- at least not safely.
Main issues:- rumble/vibration in right front wheel that is likely involves a brake drum.
- Brake lights have a tendency to stay on after the pedal is released, so the tail/brake lights have been disconnected to prevent battery drain.
- No working horn, gas gauge, temp or oil pressure gauge.
But all in all, this is a very nice. nearly-complete project car that is reasonably priced. It is offered for sale locally and through other platforms-- so the seller reserves the right to cancel this listing at any time.
