My uncle purchased #0022 of the 1987 run of 1,000 GLHS Chargers used from Kearny Mesa Dodge in San Diego, California in late '87. We believe the vehicle was sold new by the same dealer, and that he was the second owner. After many years of service,he passed on this well-use GLHS to me in 2012. To make it roadworthy and safe, all belts, hoses, fluids were replaced. The correct tires where installed on refinished correct Centurian wheels. Except for the paint, this Shelby is unmolested, with all the original equipment right down to the OEM AM/FM cassette player. I enjoyed driving it for some time before it developed a problem with the turbo. With almost 100,000 miles on the engine, I retired the car with the intention of having the engine rebuilt. It's been on a CA inoperative status ever since. I simply don't have the time or resources to complete a full restoration. As such, the car is not in condition to drive any distance. I'm hoping to find a good home for this Shelby!
