Car description

This is a rare, real deal, 1969 Dodge Charger, RT/SE, #'s, 4speed Manual, Rare Orange (V2) car. Orange wasn't available till 69 1/2.Have nice build sheet.Have original fender tag in nice shape.Have good documentation (owners, receipts from past owners etc).According Galen's white book, only 3,605 four speed RT Chargers were built out of 18,344 RT's total.Only 4,243 RT/SE's were built. Being a higher end car, how many 4 speeds do you think we're built? I've watched and not seen many RT/SE manual shift and only a few with good colors and how.many with original drivetrain, build sheet and tag? No it's not a Hemi car, but it's 2nd best in my opinion.
Was a California car till late 80's based on documentation. Then went to Denver Colorado where it stayed till owner passed in late 1990's. It was bought at an estate sale and taken to New Mexico and advertised to flip. That's when I bought it.

MAKE NO MISTAKE,THIS A PROJECT! Pictures make it look better than it is, but it is complete! And it's a good solid car!
Comes with the matching numbers motor (it's not in car but complete). I've oiled the cylinders etc but is not turning as of now. Haven't taken it apart.
A later model 440 is in car now. Had it running again with gas poured in carb (have brief video). Not getting spark now and carbs need work from sitting. But think still good motor. I have an MSD distributor I can install if need more video of it running. Car will need transported not driven!
Matching numbers tranny is in car and fine. Dana 60 rear was gone thru when I bought it and good shape.
I've owned this car for about 20 years. Ran and drove when I bought it And was driven a little first few years I owned it. Been sitting in climate controlled storage waiting restoration. Reality has set in, I'm not gonna get to it. I put another master cylinder on it and have a little braking but system needs gone thru.
Interior is complete with console and correct original shifter and steering wheel. Door pads and dash pad are decent. Carpet has been changed and they glued it down. Seats need redone but all there including hinge covers and seat knobs with nice frames. All needs redone for a complete restoration. Most gauges worked and lights etc. When I drove it. Some need attention now. I have the correct AM 8 track stereo and a decent uncut radio dash plate for it. Radio was suppose to work when I bought it and will be included.
The body was gone over by a poor amateur body man or wanna be. Rear finish panel has/had damage and poorly repaired as was quarter panels etc. (No major damage just minor sheet metal bumps and damage) Alot of bad filler work and really poor single stage respray over the original orange color. Car wasn't fully apart when done just engine bay and shell resprayed. Didn't even spray back of trunk etc.
I have/do restoration work and in my opinion it at minimum needs lower quarters repaired. New truck floor all from leaking trunk which is normal in these cars Looks like drop offs may be ok. There is bubbling in the seams where quarter meets the rocker panels though rockers appear good. Fenders, hood, doors and deck lid all look good. Vinyl roof was replaced according to documentation and looks good. So can't say the condition under it or how seams were cleaned and sealed though I don't see any obvious bubbles or spots under roof. Grill is good though one repair needs made or replaced on a vertical fin. The headlights worked and held vacuum. Still do.
Aside from quarter issues this is a very clean body. Frame rails will all clean up nice. Bones of this car are nice, even the battery tray!
I peeled carpet up enough to see driver's floor will need replaced from wet feet. Rest of floors appear to be good with no heavy pitting (front passenger anyway). Didn't peel up rear passenger carpet but I believe they are good based on bottom of car. Plastic taillight finish panel that belongs in trunk is missing. I have factory air cleaner housing that is believed to be correct. Don't have original carb.
If your serious about the car, email me your number as I'd prefer to talk on phone and give an honest description of the car.
I can provide any pictures or video needed. They only allow 24 pictures. It's on my lift in my shop. Have clear title in my name.
