Car description

This is a 1973 Dodge Challenger with as solid a body as you'll ever find. This was a West Texas car and thus experienced a dry climate. I dismantled the vehicle in 1982 but never commenced the restoration. It's been waiting for 30 years and I think I should sell it because I probably won't be able to get to restoring it. It's the perfect restoration project because the body is solid. The floor and trunk are solid. As are the quarter panels and cowl. It came from a dry climate and has been in storage for 30 years. so there isn't a better candidate for a Challenger restoration. Finding a good classic Challenger for a restoration project is almost impossible. But not always. Here's the impossible find. It's completely dismantled and cleaned. so you can get right to restoring and avoid all that dreary extra labor dismantling a grungy old car. All the parts are organized and contained in boxes sitting right now on storage shelves. It has a Rallye hood and fenders. I posted 12 photos of the body. For extra photos. message me on this item or use contact on my Ebay name. I can't photo the parts other than to show that they are stored away in storage bins on storage shells and packed away. If you want to see the car in person in Orlando. FL. message me. I can only show in person the body now. Soon I will move the parts from storage to my garage. But you can touch the body in person to see that the metal is solid. The bumpers (not bumper frames) were already sold because they were to be replaced by new parts as is the case in serious restorations. The engine was also already sold because a new engine was planned for the restoration. The driveline was also already sold except for the 8 3/4 read axle housing as these were all planned upgrades. One of the retaining U-Bolts broke as the rear axle was being removed. I believe the front and rear valances were also already sold. One of the upper control arms cracked when removing the ball joint and was discarded. The front seats need recovering but that's simple to do. The dash was like-new perfect in the car but was slightly damaged in storage. A new carpet is needed as are the hard plastic door and rear side panels for a perfect restoration. The gas tank has a pin hole leak that is easily repaired. Otherwise the car is complete other than insignificant parts that are normally replaced/upgraded on a restorations. like exhaust pipes. AC compressor. alternator. If you're not able to be in Florida to see it before buying and want to make an offer. message me because I'm not likely to accept early offers other than the Buy-It.
