Car description

This 1989 Dodge Raider (vin: JB7FJ43E9KJ021321) is in very good condition. The body both interior and exterior are in excellent shape, starts easily, and drives at highway speeds no problem.

The previous owner kept it to drive around his property and drove it into town from 1999-2018.

Based on the condition of the undercarriage, it is very likely that it was never driven off road.

Clean title, accident free, and virtually rust free (one tiny patch on the bottom of the rear of the driver front fender, and another tiny patch in the rain gutter above the driver window, both are pictured) with 184,000 miles and two keys. The frame, under carriage, fenders, roof, door seams, etc are all rust free.

4 cyl 2.6 5 speed 4x4 with autohubs. This Raider does not have a catalytic converter (can't confirm if this was a pre-emissions vehicle, but it does not have any emissions equipment.)

It has a non-jet head, which is the desirable swap, as the jetted head can crack with any fluctuation in temperature.

It also has a weber progressive 32/36 carb with an electric choke with the high flow air filter, but the original air element is available.

Shifts into and out of 4wd and 4Lo flawlessly, on the first try, every time.

All of the above is on video.

Just recently (Feb 2019) had the timing chains/oil pump/water pump/belts/ignition system/valve adjustment and guide seals/all gaskets from the head up done by a certified mechanic. Can provide receipts if needed. It does not smoke at all, not when starting cold, not under WOT on the road. It also does not have any leaks from the motor or transmission.

Original paint and body panels including all badges/trim, original glass except windshield, original and uncracked/unfaded interior trim/dash/headliner, original and nearly perfect upholstery (one small tear on the inner side of the back of the passenger seat,) the carpet is old but complete.

All gauges, indicator lights, interior lights, exterior indicator lights, headlights, and wipers work.

The air conditioning blows cold and the heater works fine. It has been retrofitted to r134, but has a very slow leak. Its been topped off once in the last year but currently low on gas.

The speakers work, but the single DIN headunit is not producing wattage.

The steering and suspension are tight and smooth after replacing all four shocks and the leaf spring bushings, no pops or clicks. The steering box is developing a very slow leak, as the box itself is damp. The fluid has however, not needed a top off in the last year and does not leak while turning the wheels parked.
