Car description

She's back. I realized a few days into my last listing that I had plane tickets to Mexico leaving the day after the auction was over. So here it is again. I've added some more details in the description below which you may want to see, so have patience and read it again for the edits.
I bought this truck from the farm in northern California where it lived all its life. I did a complete body off chassis build including Mustang II front suspension w/ disc brakes, and power rack & pinion steering. I boxed the rails back to the rear spring perch (see photos). The 56 Dodge Hemi is bored to 325 cu. in., forged pistons, stainless valves from Hot Heads. Crank balanced and nitrited. Cam reground. Solid lifters (NASCAR type with positive oiler at cam/lifter contact) and adjustable bushed rockers. The rebuilt Chrysler A833 four speed sits behind a Schaffer aluminum flywheel. Late model Mopar gear reduction starter. Sanderson block hugger headers. The rear axle is early Ford Mustang with all 3.08:1 positraction third member withnew gears and bearings.
It has all new glass; tempered windows and laminated windshield. Headlight bullets are original with later headlight rings. The original gas tank was cleaned out and sealed before moving it to the rear, under the bed.All new fuse box, wiring and switches.
I have the original splash aprons for the running boards. The aprons and the interior paneling can be found by searching 37 plymouth pickup. He has way more things to buy for it.
There was no significant rust. This is a solid driver. Everything works well. I'd keep it if I had the room for it.
Between listing it a couple weeks ago and relisting it now I replaced the aftermarket aluminum manifold for the OEM which works much better. The next to last photo is of the engine bay a year after painting the cab. It hadn't reacted with the paint underneathyet. The last photo is an example of the surface rust that can be seen in three or four small areas around the cab.
There are also way more new parts on this car than I can mention (for example; new window glass rubber and felt ways, hood gaskets, MSD ignition.....I could go on and on).
This is my last car Mopar build so there lot of spares, both body and engine parts, which can come with the car, or not. your choice.

The 15" wheels are powder coated. I believe the hubcaps are original.

If I were keeping my Dodge, next and last on the list of mechanicals would be the parking brake for which I have a beautiful vintage handle (optional would be to add disc brakes to the rear axle [brakes, cables, and misc parts are all readily available from any number of Mustang restoring sites]). I just took a photo of the handle lying in the bed of the truck, and tried to add it to my photos but they won't let me alter my auction info.
If you want to see that or any other detail photos, or if you have questions, I'd be happy to respond to a phone call. Remember to leave me a message as I generally don't pick up calls from unknown numbers; 510 872 0771
