1954 Dodge Royal Indy 500 Pace Car Convertible

1954 was the first year that Dodge built a special pace car edition vehicle for the Indianapolis 500. Only 701 pace car replica convertibles were built with their distinctive yellow body, two tone yellow interior and Kelsey Hayes wire wheels including the rear mounted spare. The Convertible was built on a much shorter wheelbase than the hardtop which gives the car a much sportier stance.
This Pace Car replica has been completely restored including its powerful 241 Hemi engine with 4 bbl carburetor, transmission, brakes and other mechanical systems. The body and paint work is exceptional and the interior is extremely well done. Most if not all dash items are NOS. All electrical systems work as they should.
