Car description

This is a car specially ordered by a true Mopar lover, and it was restored to showcase it all. So as you look over the details on this 1973 Dodge Challenger, you're going to love the special paint, original V8, four-on-the-floor, terrific paperwork, and so much more. While Mopars are often unique machines, this one is for someone who demands a standout amongst standouts. It all starts with the paint. Sunfire Yellow was a color that was on... Plymouths and Chryslers, but not part of the Dodge run. So to have that on this Challenger meant someone had to order it special and pay extra for it (it even has the 999 special order on the paint code to prove it.) That instantly makes this quite a rare muscle machine, and exactly why they invested heavily when restoring it in 2012. The bright yellow glows in the sunshine, and it highlights the Challenger's iconic curves that you get with this crisp sheetmetal. Plus, the yellow is a great complementary color for all the aggressive black accents. So we know you love the sporty details like the R/T stripes, full-with spoiler, and matte black hood that draws extra attention to the dual scoops. This is even a true Rallye model with the correct faux side vents highlighted in black. And the factory-correct black vinyl roof completes this well-coordinated total package while also reminding that this is a premium Mopar. The well-preserved black vinyl interior does a great job of complementing the exterior design theme. This whole atmosphere feels highly original and very well respected. That's why it has wonderful details like the rare rear defrost, working AM radio, and the wood trim with the vintage Dodge insignias still affixed. The moment you slip into the high-back bucket seat, it feels like 1973 all over again. You've got the desirable center console with the iconic pistol-grip gearshift sitting boldly in the middle. The dual-spoke sports steering wheel gives you an excellent view of the full Rallye gauge panel, including the large tachometer in the center. When you lift the hood, there are even more signs of great investments. The engine bay looks exceptionally clean and nicely detailed, which makes for a great showcase of the mean 340 cubic-inch V8. On a coupe that's been so special thus far, you'll be quite happy to know that this is the original numbers-matching motor. So you'll be proud to show it off and talk about it. But this classic was also restored for driving. It has a Holley dual-feed four-barrel carburetor to really let the V8 inhale deeply. Plus, it exhales with the proper Mopar authority out of the newer stainless dual exhaust. You get to take full advantage of this power thanks to the control of the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, this feeds the strong 489 rear end for the best in all-around driving. In fact, this was really restored to be enjoyed out on the road. That's why you have good factory features like power steering and front disc brakes. And that's joined by upgrades like newer bushings and the modern grip of BF Goodrich gForce Sport tires (they're mounted on larger 17-inch alloys designed to look like classic Rallye wheels.) This is a very special machine, and so it comes with the right paperwork, including the factory buildsheet (showing all the desirable features,) owner's manual, maintenance records, and more. This is a well-restored dream Mopar, so don't let it go into some else's garage. Call today!!!
