Up for auction is my 1970 Challenger project car. This is a very solid New Mexico car. The frame rails. owl. ockers. irewall. loor pans etc. are rock solid. The car was delivered to me 11/11/11. It is a FF4 green with green interior and vinyl top. It's an original A/C car with 26" radiator core support. It's got drum brakes on all four corners. The original buckets and rear seat is in great shape for restoration. I took the entire car down to bare metal to expose any hidden flaws. I took pictures of the car in bare metal so it can be seen how solid it is. The original quarters. enders. ockers. tc. are so rock solid that I didn't find even a single pinhole in the sheetmetal. However. this was a vinyl top car and the original roof skin was in pretty poor condition. I replaced it with a new AMD roof skin. I also replaced the trunk filler panel along with the trunk pan all with AMD pieces. The trunk drops and wheelhouses were in excellent condition. o I didn't have to touch those at all. At some point in time and for whatever reason. omeone cut the original driver's side quarter panel off and lap welded a 72-74 Challenger quarter in it's place. I didn't care for the quality of the work. o I replaced it with a new full quarter to sail panel AMD piece. Someone also sandblasted the driver's side fender and it was full of bondo. o I got a new AMD fender as well. I also added a new AMD rear valance with the exhaust tip cutouts. I aquired a nice clean original rallye hood for it as well. That was also stripped down to bare metal on both sides and 2K primed along with all the rest of the original panels. Any rust you see under the car is light surface scale that can practically be wiped off with your fingers. No thick scale rust that would cause pitting. The car has never been in an accident. The frame rails are straight with no ripples or any sign of collision. The hood. oors. nd trunk lid are rock solid and the pinch welds are mint. This was originally going to be a Vanishing point tribute car. ut after finishing all of the sheetmetal work. decided to put her up for for sale to look for my dream car. 1971 Barracuda. So this car is for sale outright or I would be willing to consider trades for solid 1971 barracuda project cars. If you have a solid 1971 Barracuda that needs some work and if you are interested in a partial cash/trade. et me know and maybe we can work out a deal. Everything you see in the pics is what's included with the car along with some Challenger specific parts like the stainless window trim. as tank filler necks. arnesses. lass etc. The car has a clean title in my name. The fender tag. ash and door vin tags are all present. The car came with no motor or transmission and I do not have one to include. It also comes with an 8 1/4" rear axle. All of the hard work is done. The car is ready for the final bodywork and the block sanding phase and then onto paint. There is absolutely NO BONDO on the car anywhere. I want to be as honest and forthright as I can for any potential buyers. o there are not any surprises when the car is delivered to them. There's no point in buying some piece of crap where you have no idea what's under the paint. Here you have a sure thing with a clean title and tags that you can drop a 426 hemi. 40 six pack into and not have to worry about the car's bones. Email me for a link to over 100 pictures showing the car's condition in much greater detail. Feel free to give me a call with any questions you have. I did all of the work myself and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. You can reach me at 1-414-671-3364 Thanks. ave
