1966 Dodge Coronet 500. Rebuilt 440 cubic inch engine. Rebuilt 727 automatic transmission. Less than 2000 miles on a full show quality restoration. The restoration took 3 years. Multiple best of show awards/trophies. This car has won several Mopar car shows as well. Purchased new by Martin Snoey of Washougal Washington. Original build sheet, owners manual, jack, vehicle ID card "Certicard", fender tag, and maintenance card (located on back of glove box door). Documented build with pictures through out the restoration. I have a 3 ring binder full of pictures taken during the restoration process that is included with the sale. $15,000 show quality paint job in 70's Mopar color Pink Panther/Moulin Rouge (paint code FM3). This is a factory Coronet 500 which included V-8 motor, exterior trim/badging, bucket seats, padded dash and chrome floor console.
MOTOR / TRANSMISSION / AXEL- Professionally rebuilt 440 C.I. engine. Edelbrock carburetor and aluminum intake. Mild build on motor. Approximately 425 horse power. $10,000 invested in the motor. Professionally rebuilt 727 automatic transmission with shift kit. Upgraded torque converter. New alternator, starter, battery, exhaust manifolds, distributor, electronic ignition, water pump, gas tank, fuel sender, fuel lines, ect. Complete new dual exhaust with h-pipe and high performance mufflers. The engine bay is painted and detailed to show quality. Every thing in the engine/engine bay has been replaced, refinished, or rebuilt. Rebuilt correct Mopar radiator. Factory 3.23 posi-traction rear end.
PAINT / BODY- The car was completely dissembled to a shell and stripped to bare metal. Very little rust repair was needed. The car received a full color change to the factory Mopar color of Pink Panther/Moulin Rouge (paint code FM3). A top of the line two stage paint was used. The body was then color sanded and polished to a show quality finish. $15,000 was invested in the paint and body work alone. New front and rear bumpers as well as various exterior trim pieces. The body lines are are arrow strait. The door and body gaps are better than what would have came from the factory. All new body/window seals and gaskets. The engine bay, trunk area, interior, door jambs, ect. were all given the same attention to detail and were all repainted. This car is 100% rust free. The undercarriage was cleaned, detailed and undercoated. All of the glass retains its original markings and is original to the car. New 7x15 and 8x15 Cragar SS wheels. New Grand Am tires.
INTERIOR- The interior has been completely restored. New headliner, front/rear door panels, interior panels, carpet, interior fasteners/trim, visors, and dash pad. The front and rear seat upholstery was all professionally reupholstered. New seat padding. Rebuilt heater box, new blower fan, and heater core. Original day/night rear view mirror, remote side mirror, and Coronet 500 dash emblem. The original steering wheel is in mint condition. The interior lights, dash lights, gauges, heater, dome lights, horn, ect. all work as new. All of the interior trim has been polished. The original AM radio works wonderfully. Original Coronet 500 bucket seats, console tachometer, chrome floor center console, and shifter.
BRAKES/SUSPENSION- Every thing has been rebuilt or replaced as needed. Complete new brake system front to rear. All of the front end bushings and rubber has been replaced. New front shocks, rear leaf springs, rear air shocks.
Over three years went into this labor of love. This is a one of a kind Coronet 500. Multiple Mopar show winner including; Best Mopar, Best b-body, best modified b-body, best of show. All trophies come with the car. All work was professionally done. The car runs and drives like new. The motor has plenty of power, the exhaust sounds awesome. The car is ready for car shows or cruising. The car needs nothing and is ready to enjoy.
