The Dodge Charger is one of the most beloved and respected muscle cars of all time. The second generation B-body is arguably one of the greatest and well known designs of all time. Totally redesigned for 1968, the new body retained its full-width hidden headlight grille, but a vacuum operated cover replaced the electric motor rotating headlights. New "flying buttress" greenhouse, kick up rear spoiler, and double diamond "coke-bottle" were revolutionary for the model. A wide range of engines were... offered with the top being the 426cid Hemi V8 engine. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stunning one of a kind 1968 Charger for your consideration. Originally from Oklahoma, the car found its way over to Detroit when it was picked by its current owner. The car was soon taken to Count Kustoms in Las Vegas where it was given a total custom overhaul. Key features include the stunning deep purple paint which looks black but changes to a purple up close. The paint quality is absolutely stunning and is accented by a rear phantom black stripe on the rear decklid. The hideaway headlights are present and the steel wheels are color matched and fitted with factory hubcaps. The hood features a large black intake as well. Totally restored, this car features a rebuilt date code correct 440cid V8 engine with the original A727 automatic transmission. The engine was rebuilt to a tune of almost $9k and features Roger crankshaft and is said to produce 450hp. In addition the car features power steering, power four wheel disc brakes, and electronic headlights. The interior is stunning and features lovely black leather bucket seats that have excellent padding. Everything from the custom dashboard to the door cards and original wood console trim are in excellent shape as well. The interior features some modern amenities such as Vintage Air air conditioning as well as power windows and a strong heather. The current owner has enjoyed this fabulous and eye catching Charger for about six years. The car sounds absolutely stunning and fires up right away at the turn of the key. It drives phenomenally but is a stunning garage queen as well. It even comes with some cool period correct brochures and Count Kustoms pillows. You won't be disappointed by any part of this amazing car.
