Car description |

This 1935 Dodge Brothers Express Delivery 1/2 Ton Pickup truck was originally owned by my grandfather, who gifted it to me in 1981. He passed away the following year and I have kept the vehicle in storage ever since. It was operational at the time, but has not been started since. The title indicates that it is a 1936, but it clearly is a 1935 model.
Originally a Connecticut vehicle, it has never been on salted roads and has less than 17,000 miles on it. The tires still hold air after all these years! Spare wheels/tires and jack are included. It is missing the radiator cap/ornament, but those are available online. Wear and tear, dents and dings typical for its age and application. Except for the door windows, it is all original, very solid, and in nice shape for an 83 year old farm truck. Rear window is cracked. Not shown in the photos is the rear tailgate, which is still operational.
Purchased during the worst of the dust bowl and the middle of the Great Depression, this is one of the rarest Dodge Brothers trucks to find. I remember riding with my grandfather in this truck in the 1960's. It is a true family heirloom, but medical expenses have force me to part with it. It has always been parked inside. I have not washed off the dust or bird droppings from 1982 to ensure it remained as dry as possible.
The truck has not been altered, chopped or modified from its original design. It is located in Lancaster, Ohio. I do own an enclosed trailer, and, depending on location, can deliver the vehicle to your location for an appropriate fee. Payment must be made prior to delivery. Delivery would take place in 7-14 days. I would prefer the buyer makes their own shipping arrangements.
Not only a piece of history, this is a piece of automotive art.
