Car description |
---|
This is a 1973 Dodge Challenger hardtop, mild restoration, with many upgrades. VIN: JH23G3B246474. This Challenger was originally a base model 318, but had a 440 Magnum V8 dropped in, with an Edelbrock performer intake, Mopar Performance air cleaner and valve covers, and performance electronic ignition.
This is a third-owner car. It was bought from its second owner in 2007 from Atlanta, Georgia (southern car). The second owner performed the restoration work which consisted of a 440 Magnum engine from a 1968 Coronet. The engine was sent to Hensley Performance in Knoxville, TN where racing pistons, cams, and aluminum heads were installed. The engine was balanced, blueprinted, and dyno'd at a little over 600HP by Hensley. The Torqueflight 727 transmission is believed to be original.440 appearance badges have been added.
Overall, excellent condition (#2) with only very minor flaws and 97,298 original miles. The body is clean inside and out with no rust. The paintwork has some minor flaws; brightwork and mirrors are spotless. The interior is like new. The drivetrain is perfect and the transmission shifts smooth. The quality of the restoration shows throughout this vehicle. A clear title supports the claim of original miles.Vehicle is garaged in North Canton, Ohio (near Cleveland).
