It has three spare rims and three of the four tires hold air. The fourth tire needs a tube to be functional. The truck was manufactured by Dodge as a “Flat Face Cowl” vehicle. It was normal in 1947 to build the truck just back to ”in front of the windshield” and the ship the chassis to an automotive body builder who would attach the remainder of the body. In this case the vehicle was completed by the Herman Body Company. St. Louis MO. (The Herman Body company closed for business in 1952. ) there are still two body ID tags attached to the body identifying it as being made by Herman Body Co.
