Car description |
---|
A 1987 Shelby charger. It sat in a barn for many years. I traded it for a z28 Camaro I had...had intentions of bulding it for my son since he was more into the "tuner" style cars than the "muscle" kind of cars...*sigh*
Anyway, turns out " its too old " and he doesn't like this either..*sigh*
So, here it is...
Heres what I know from previous owner: Was the guys wifes car, she passed away and he drove it for a little after that, until the shifter linkage kept popping off the transmission, he got sick of it and parked the car. It sat for many years ( he stated over 10 years) in a barn on his property until it was sold to the man who quickly flipped it to me for my z28. I picked it up from the barn it resided in and got to talk to the previous owner.
I got it home, disconnected the fuel line and tried to crank it...it turned over. I checked the compression: surprisingly they were all within 15 psi of each other. ok, it'll run I thought. So, I purchased a new fuel pump and found a spare computer on ebay just in case it lost spark and planned to drop the tank, clean it out and replace the pump. Well, that's as far as I got until I showed the car to my son and he made "that face".
Now, I have a trailer / lawn ornament that needs to leave my GM only corral of vehicles....
I'm listing it to get rid of it, so make me a fair offer and its yours. It will come with the new pump, the spare computer, a spare front console piece, two spare drivers side front fender ground effects and a spare rear hatch from another Shelby charger.
If I somehow find the time to drop the tank, replace the pump and get this thing running, I will update the listing and the price. But as for right now, the listing is for a non running 1987 Shelby charger in the exact condition the pictures tell. If you have any questions, please ask and I will be as helpful and honestas I can be.
The buyer will be responsible to pay a $300 deposit in 24 hrs andpick up the car within 2 weeks from the end of the auction, or have someone come and get it. The title is in my name and the car is at my residence. I will do my best to make myself availabl, but I am not going to miss work or jump through flaming hoops for you to get your car...be considerate and I will be flexible. its that simple...
THE TRAILER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION, JUST THE CAR!
