This Dodge Challenger custom has been featured in Popular Hot Rodding magazine The car has been fully rotisserie restored by Performance Restorations in Mundelein Illinois (RIP). Receipts and build book areavailable for review. The restoration project took multiple years and hundreds of thousands of dollars wereinvested.
The engine is a Indy Cylinder Head all aluminum block 605 CI HEMI that make886 HP and802 Ft. Lbs. torque on the dyno. The engine features a 4.50 bore and 4.75 stroke, Custom Comp Roller Cam, 1190 CFM King Demon carb, and MSD ignition system. The 12:1 compression ratio requires high octane fuel. Headers and exhaust are ceramic coated, and electronic exhaust valves installed to let it breathe.
The transmission is a Passion Performance 4 speed with a pistol grip shifter. The rear end is a Dana 60 with a Strange Engineering center section, 35 spline axle, anda3.55 gear set.
The car has Wilwood Six-Piston four wheel disc brakes, Boze custom wheels, factory gages and interior, roll cage with sing out door bars.
Thefront suspensionfeatures a Magnum Force tubular K-member, QA1 coil overs, 1.25" sway bar. The rear suspension features ladder bars, QA1 coil overs, and a custom sway bar.
The interior has been left mostly original except for the full roll cage that was installed during the project - the cage door bars swing out for easy entry and exit.
This is an amazing car that has been sitting idle in my shop for a long time. I regret I haven't had enough time to drive it as much as I would have liked. I do drive it a bit each season to keep the fluids circulated and everything running as appropriate.
