This beautiful 1928 Dodge Brothers was purchased in the late 1990s from the person who really loved and was taking a very good care of it. He dedicated tons of his time. lots of effort. good taste and professional knowledge into this car restoration. piece by piece assembling parts and documents. Based on some receipts. this restoration took him a several years. Since I have this car. from time-to-time I was trying to find at the Internet another similar to what I have. and I could not find any antique Dodge from the Frame-off Restoration that would be such thoroughly and precisely restored. I took some detailed pictures of it and I also attaching a couple images presenting the original photos from the restoration process which were taken by the previous owner. To preserve it's condition. this vehicle was driven a very few times and it is being garaged from the time of purchase. Car is with the original documentation such as repair receipts. the original rare 1920s Mechanic's Instruction Manual book of 196 pages. some antique DB advertising from that period of time. booklet of DB company's manufacture records. The authentic WA state 1928 front & rare collectible neat plate numbers (please check the photo) were purchased later. This vehicle has the original wooden floor. wooden steering wheel. original mirror. even the original wiper! Two rare doors are "suicide". two are regular. Handles are with the nice original patina. I was told that this type of restoration makes vehicle highly collectible. The only a few things have to be done. The interior side panel upholstery. But. the good thing is. that at this point the condition of body work could be seen. The passenger's side interior small metal handle is partially broken. The spare tire was purchased later. it's rim is fine. but the tire has to be replaced; 4. The floor is bare and nice original patina of the wood shows it's age and history. The speedometer seems to be in one position. might need just a little tune-up. So. to be drivable. this car only needs a new battery. The starter was replaced with newly rebuilt authentic one which has re-casted silumin cup. The custom made new head gasket was replaced with the brand new as well. The system is clean. no leakage. engine refilled with an appropriate oil. This car has a custom made. top quality glass windows. Two rear one's are with delicate and elegant sandblasted Art Deco style patterns. the back window has also a nice delicate design with "DB" logo. All wooden wheels are very nicely restored with precisely painted fine lines. Vehicle has a specially ordered. made in California cotton felt cover. Seats are reupholstered accordingly to the original pattern. Front seat is made from the combination of two materials: a black faux leather and the grey upholstery fabric. the rear seat is solid black. On the driver's side. under the seat there is an electric switch board. Car also has an extra radiator. nbsp;the ignition key. engine winding handle. Every wheel has a "DB" hubcup. Each one is in a very good condition. Tires are in the excellent condition as well. The roof has build-in a rectangular black faux leather cover (accordingly to the original). The paint is very nice and shiny. Looks like brand new. There is no any rust. This vehicle was garaged before and after it was purchased. With the new battery it would run very well. This vehicle's paint color is very elegant and radiant at the same time! It really deserves to be exhibited. to see the day light and to be ADMIRED! I hope that it will find a good home.
