1968 Superbee 4 Speed
If you want a car that garners attention then this Bee is for you. Finished in it's original dark turquoise with Pearl white interiorthis car is very pretty. Add in a white bumble bee stripefor a finishing touch. This might have been how I would have ordered the car in the day. Especially with the 4 speed.I was told that the 383 engine is matching numbers and the engine is dated 4-20-68 but I couldn't read numbers on back of block.
The paint on this Bee is very nice and shiny. The gaps are good and there is no rust. The doors shut as they should. The body is flat and straight for a car from this era. The rear quarters were replaced years ago and I believe possibly the center trunk section. There are some minorchips and scratches in a few places but nothingthat stands out. Most of the chrome and stainless is in good to very good condition except the very bottom of front bumper the chrome is peeling a little. A little bit of pitting on vent window frames.
The engine fires right up and runs smoothly. The transmission and clutch are also very smooth and don't seem to have any issues. The 83/4 is also quiet.. It stops as it should and drives well but there has been a few new suspension parts installed and could probably use an alignment.
Most of the interior is new including headliner, door panels front and back, seat covers, carpeting, and all door bezels and pads. All the gauges work except the speedometer just quit and I think the wipers need a 3 speed switch.to work.
All in all a very pretty solid Bee. This car could be enjoyed as it is or you could add your own finishing touches. Just to find one in this color is rare and hard to find. I have tried to be as truthful as possible and value my reputation but sometimes things can be left out. If you are interested please call and I will give you an honest description. I think the reserve is just a little low and this car is priced to sell. This Superbee is being sold where is as is. No warranties have been written expressed or implied. The car can be stored up to 30 days after purchase unless prior arrangements have been made. Any offers or questions? 636 219 7298 Thanks Bill
