Up for auction is a 1967 Dodge Dart GT. I have owned this car since 2000. It is a very solid southern car that. as I was told. spent most of it’s life in North Carolina. I bought it from a gentleman in Louisiana. It has remained mostly as it was when I bought it. It was originally a 273 four barrel car. Drive train: It has a what I was told is a “crate” 318 (Not original to car). It has a little bit of a cam in it maybe like a “purple shaft“. Edlebrock carburetor. Weiand intake. and headers. Mopar performance valve covers. air cleaner. HEI ignition system. Also has a set of Flowmasters that combined with a set of original 340 rear tips ( the thick good ones) gives it a fantastic sound combined with the cam! You will not think it is a 318 when you drive it! It runs as well as a 340. Oil pressure is around 30 psi. hot at idle. It has a 727 transmission with a shift kit. trans cooler. custom made drive shaft. 8 ¾ rear end with a whopping 4. 88 gear in the good “489” carrier. Also has an old set of Lakewood traction bars from the seventies. Front suspension has all been redone with new bushings etc. I installed a SSBC disc brake kit on it with an adjustable proportioning valve instead of the skimpy drums in front. Rear brakes are standard 2 inch. Mopar rally’s with a 4 inch bolt pattern and all right handed studs. Body: Body is extremely solid as the photos show. Fenders. core support. aprons. rails all the way back. cowl. doors. quarter panels. trunk lid. rocker panels. floor. trunk floor are all original and untouched. Aprons. inside of quarters and trunk floor are still in original paint. Inner quarters and trunk floor drop off are also original and untouched. Car was painted in 2000 with base/clear and still shines well. Hood was replaced with a fiberglass Hemi style from AAR fiberglass. Still works with the original latch. safety. and hinges. Hood pins are functional but mostly for show. The paint does have a few chips and nicks but it is 14 years old. Vinyl top also replaced in 2000 with a reproduction top from Year One. All glass is good except for the windshield which is fogging in the corners a bit which you don’t even notice when you’re driving. Interior: Front seats have been recovered with a reproduction set from Year One. Rear seat. carpet. headliner. console appear to be all original. All trim panels are in very good shape. Dash is uncut and original. Radio replaced with an aftermarket unit that I never use (don’t even know if it works). Tach. oil pressure gauge. and temp gauge mounted to column. volt meter mounted to bottom of dash. Gauges are as they were when I bought the car. saw no reason to change them. If I haven’t given you enough here please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have or any more photos you may need. OK. the best part of the deal: If you use the buy it now feature you will also get a nearly complete but disassembled 1971 340 motor. Block is standard bore. factory pistons. rods and steel crank. all balanced. Set of “X” heads with a brand new valve job. keepers and seals all new from the comp cams kit. Brand new comp cam. rocker arms and shafts. timing chain. head bolts. engine bolt kit. etc. almost everything you need to build it. Also have windage tray and oil pan. Do not have timing case. gears. water pump. distributor etc. You will also get the original matching flat steel hood and any other parts I have for the car.
