Car description

Dodge Charger up for auction. This car is a great running and reliable vehicle . I have had it on many long trips without issues. Easy starts, smooth idle, and shifts nicely. fourteen miles per gallon. The suspension and brakes function as they should. The body is solid with no previous rust or accident damage repair. I have looked at it closely underneath, in the trunk and all of its original sheet metal. The doors open and shut nicely. No slamming or lifting to open or shut. The gaps for the door, trunk, hood are spaced nicely. The hood and rear valance panel were changed to the RT or Rally style at some point. The optional stainless trim for the window sills and between the bumpers and fenders is in excellent condition. The front and rear bumpers are straight and the chrome is very nice. The wheel moldings and stainless window trim is in very nice condition. The factory radio is still in place and works but that wel, could be the speakers, not sure. The 14 inch rally rims and the tires are in great shape, would look a lot tougher with a set of 17 inch rally rims that year one is selling . Fill the wheel wells up some and maybe lower couple inches. The motor is not original ( was born with a 318). Now has a warmed up 360. Numbers matching transmission. Everything on this car works correctly with the exception being the e brake and air conditioner. The emergency brake works but will not lock in brake on position. All the air conditioning parts are all there but it lost its charge and I like cruising with the windows down. The motor and trans have been freshened up. The motor was completely rebuilt and the trans was gone threw with a shift improving kit and a new toque converter. Since then I have put over 2000 miles on the Charger and it's working great. Do not hesitate to drive it home. The car is a driver not a show car. The paint has imperfection but nothing that's going to keep you away from cruise ins. The interior was changed from a front bench seat to buckets with a buddy seat in the middle. The seats match nicely and if you didn't know it you would think it came that way. The drivers seat shows some wear in the typical ( getting in and out ) spot but not bad. The dash is the rally style with the factory style tachometer. The instruments all work correctly. This car has the light option / turn signals on the fenders, courtesy lights in the glove box and trunk, timed lights for the key and light switches. The taillights have been changed to the 1971 RT or 1972 Rally style. The real value with this car is with the fact that the body is solid, its complete and working correctly. You dont need to restore unless you want to and if you do its going to be easy. Bring your magnet and see if you can find spots it wont hold onto. So if you were hoping to find a charger that you could tow home so you can lie on your back and have rust fall in your face while the mig welder is burning holes in clothes,You like it when your draining your bank account purchasing endless stuff needed, spending endless hours looking for the rare cool parts that are hard to find and people think there worth a fortune, the wife is reminding you daily that you have kids and you should be spending time with them, your not cruising the car just working on it, this might not be the car for you. Also i thought i may add, although this Charger is not a 1969. Its never been jumped. Dont ask what the reserve is please. Its less then what it would cost to have a rust bucket fixed. If your looking to get into a cool old car and can only afford to buy and not buy to restore this could be the one for you. good luck bidding. you can call or tex me, Alex 410 five seven 0 eight two five 0
