1970 340 4 speed survivor
This is a very solid challenger in very original condition. It's not often you see one green over green with a green bumble bee stripe. And then for it to have most of it's original paint and all of it's original drive train. That's pretty cool.
The exterior of this challenger is totally original except for passenger fender which looks to have beenchanged years ago. The rest of the car is still all the original steel in it's original condition. There are some small rust areas down low in front of drivers door and then low on rocker areas ( I will show in pictures ) Also a little on inner fender passenger side. The car has several scratches and a few bruises but is still very solid. The hood is faded but the rest of the car still has a little shine.
Mechanically this challenger is ready to go. Over the years it's obvious that if this car needed something it was done. The matching numbers engine starts right up with little to no smoke and idles as it should. The 4 speed goes through all the gears smoothly and the clutch feels strong and firm. It drives down the road with little effort and stays straight and stops as it should. Little to no rattles and no weird noises from the drivetrain. I would drive this one any where but it may cost a little with the 355 sure grip. The original carb has been changed but I do have it.
The interior is also original to the car. If you were able to recover just the driver's seat and lay a new green carpet it would actually look very good. The headliner is original and still nice. The gauges are still nice and crisp and they all still function. The green dash pad has one crack by the speaker but is still nice. The door panels are still very useable. All the windows roll up and down and meet to each other well. Doors shut well with no sags.
This is a car you can either restore or keep and drive as it is. One thing is you know exactly what you have. This challenger is a very nice driving car and if I kept it that's what I would do. It will always have a value in survivor condition. I have tried to explain and show everything I know to the best of my ability but it's easy to leave things out. Realize that the digital pictures can make things look better then they are. There have been no warranties written expressed or implied. If car is purchased and paid for delivery to the nats in Columbus is possible. I recommend pre inspections and willwork with youto do so. Any questions or offers? 636 219 7298
