The car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
For Sale is a 1961 Dodge Dart Phoenix 2 door hardtop. The car is overall very solid, and very complete, it does have a clear Kansas Title. I purchased the car from the original owner and had the original title, I did have to get a new title because there was still a lean on it. (I do have a copy of the title) The car was parked in 1969, the owner said he parked it because it was to much gas (the last two photos show the car as I fould it parked on a farm). The paint is 100% original and I see no signs of old body work, the paitna is great. The actual mileage is 107809. PLEASE SEE ALL 24 PHOTO'S. The condition is as follows:Body and Frame: Body is overall very straight and solid, does have some rust in the trunk floor and front floors, mostly the right front, the is also some very minor rust spots, but nothing that would need panel replacment. All glass is good including the windshield. The frame looks straight and solid. There are a few missing trim items on the car including the DODGE letters on the trunk lid, two letters on the hood, the fender ornment on the left front fender, and the right door upper molding. The is some old hail damage mostly on the top of the car and left quarter moldings.
Mechanical: the power train is complete, this has an original engine and everything under the hood is complete and untouched since the car was parked in 1969. I have never tried to start the engine and the condition is unknown (the orginal owner told me it was a running and driving car when parked, but I have no way to prove this). The engine is a 361 with a carter AFB 4 barrel carburetor, dual point distributor, and solid lifter camshaft, (the engine has always been covered with a hood and always had an air cleaner, but I can turn the motor over by turning the fan belt) the transmission is a 3 speed manual on the column. The steering and suspension is complete, the car steers and rolls fine, the car has factory power brakes.
Interior: The interior is complete, but is worn and dirty. The seat springs are solid and good foundations for reupholstery. The dash is complete and original, the tachometer was on the car when I purchased it.
Accessories: The car has factory original rear view mirrors, front and rear bumper guards, power brakes, deluxe push button am radio.
