1941 WC 10 Carryall Power Wagon 4x4 Runs and Drives!
This Carryall has been in the same family for the last 72 years. It has been known as the "Recon" and the intended use for the Recon was to have a 4 wheel drive in the Guadalupe Mountains outside of Carlsbad, New Mexico. The Grandfather would bring it out a week or two before deer season, get it ready to go, and off they went hunting for deer. After the season, the grandfather would back it into a building on his property, and it remained there until the following deer season.
The grandson, who is now elderly, often drove the Recon in high school. The Recon is an easy start and runs and drives. Recent work included some brake work and the carb was rebuilt. It has Warn Hubs. The gas has been sitting in the tank for some time and needs to be drained and refilled. There is a drain plug on the bottom of the gas tank. But again, it is an easy start and runs very well.
Since it's been in New Mexico for the last 7 decades there is very little rust on the Carryall. The bottoms of the doors are very nice. There are multiple areas of paint blemishes where someone took paint over the chipped areas but very very little rust. Seats are in excellent condition and there are door handles for ALL of the side windows. There are also a couple handles on the inside roof area where I believe this may have had a canvas top at one time. Just my guess.
I want a $500 deposit when you buy this and the balance paid within one week. Clear title on hand. You may inspect it during the auction but.after the auction I expect you to follow thru with the sale of this. If you are interested in making an offer please call me first to discuss this and make sure we are on the same page. I'm selling this as is with no warranties or guarantees. Unique truck in remarkably good condition.
