Car description

You are bidding on a 1984 Dodge Charger 2.2 Hatchback. This car was used in the movie 'Foxcatcher' where it was driven by Channing Tatum, who played Olympic Gold Medalist Mark Schultz. The car appears approximately 25-30 minutes into the movie where it is driven by Tatum in the scene where he leaves his home for Foxcatcher Farms.
I purchased this car in 2013 because I wanted a nice L-body hatchback for my collection. I did not learn of the car's history until after I purchased it. I am now trying to finish a restoration on another car in my collection, and am offering this car for sale. The car is exactly as I purchased it. I have done nothing but vacuum the interior and change the fluids. I literally drove the car home and parked it in covered storage. It has not been exposed to the elements since I have owned it. The car is currently tagged and insured in my name. It also has a recent PA state inspection. As far as documentation, I have a copy of the title where the car was owned by Fair Hill LLC. Fair Hill LLC was a company created by Annapurna Pictures in Pennsylvania to produce the movie. Everything I have for the car, would be provided to the new owner at purchase time. You can also see that the car still has the board where they mounted the cameras for the close up and driving scenes. I do not have the bottom portion of the back seat. Also, the interior trunk panels were smashed by the production company, and I have been unable to find nice originals to replace them. There is also a section across the back that is missing. I believe this was done in the scene where they had the trunk stuffed full of items.
The car is pretty basic as far as options are concerned. It has the 2.2 Litre 4-cylinder engine, with a carburetor, and a three speed automatic transmission. The cylinder head recall was done on the car. This is one of the nicest running 2.2's that I have ever seen. The car runs exceptionally smooth, and has no issues running highway speed. The car handles beautifully also. It was definitely very well taken care of by past owners. It only has a little more than 45,000 original miles on it. It has definitely never rolled over. I have only put around 200 miles on the car in the time that I have owned it. I also have some spare new old stock miscellaneous parts that I would throw in with the purchase of the car if the buy it now is selected.
It has manual locks, manual windows, power steering, and power brakes. The car has a basic AM/FM radio, and no air conditioning. It does show some signs of possible repaint in some areas, but overall is in pretty good condition. Some of the black painted areas are faded, and the nose has a slight peel on the lower portion. Overall, you would be hard pressed to find another one in this condition.
I am selling this car as is. There is no warranty expressed or implied. Good luck with the bidding. Please message me with any questions.
