This vehicle is the best I've ever owned or driven when the road is snow covered or there is no road at all. It is certainly destined to become a classic like the original Toyota Land Cruiser. This one is the hardest to find. 6 cylinder. fuel injected. manual transmission. I've owned this for 10 years and it's my 4th Raider/Montero. Since I've owned it I have changed the clutch. brake pads. calipers and pads. water pump. timing belt. hoses. belts. all front engine seals. the injectors were removed and bench cleaned (see picture). the brake lines were changed last year along with the exhaust system. alternator. plugs. wires and distributor. Some other items which always go bad on these are the rear door handle bracket. new. nbsp;and the fuel sender unit on the top of the gas tank. They all rot because snow and dirt accumulates on the top of the gas tank. I couldn't find one anywhere in the country in decent shape so I had one fabricated with brass fuel lines. It will not rot again. The other problem area on these is the top of the rear wheel wells. There's a backing plate for the rear seatbelts which catches road gunk and causes rot. I had the rot removed and stainless steel plates installed. The interior is in great shape. The seats have no rips or tears. they have always been covered. The bad on this truck is that there some rust through on the lower front fenders and the frame. It needs rear brake shoes. I would drive this truck with confidence anywhere. even across the country. I'm selling it because I've replaced it with a pickup truck. I will miss it. It currently has snow/winter tires. non studded. nbsp;mounted with 4 additional all season Yokohama Geolanders in the back. The tires alone are worth about $600. There's also lots of spare part I've accumulated over the past 25 years I've owned these. I intend on loading interior photos later so keep checking. The vehicle is located near West Point Military Academy in NY. The picture of the engine compartment was taken while I was changing the water pump. timing belt. seals. plugs. wires and hoses. It has been back together and running perfect for over a year since. If the truck doesn't sell I will consider parting it out. This is not my first choice as it would result in 1 less Raider/Montero on the road. However. if the parts serve to keep others strong and healthy then it will serve a noble purpose. If any of you have a need for a specific part please let me know.
