Car description |

This vehicle was originally purchased in California and is a one family owned vehicle which has been in Nevada for the past few years and stored in a garage. Considering that this is a desert vehicle you will not find any rust or damage on the body panels or underneath the vehicle. There is some surface rust on the exhaust pipes but there are kits you can find on the internet to replace for a few hundred bucks.
The truck is in great overall condition, the exterior is very clean as it appears to have been repainted a few year's back. There is some fading on the hood of the truck but with some care and the right buffing the truck should shine as new.
The chrome is really nice all around with no pitting or peeling, and the wood paneling is in very good shape and also looks as though it was replaced as under the bed the panels look brand new. The seats are in immaculate condition and look almost brand new.
The carpet cleaned up nicely after the detail last week but would use a proper shampoo and extraction if you would want the carpet to be perfect. It does appear to be the original carpet. If you wanted to replace this there are kits that can be purchased for a few hundred bucks and would be a direct fit.
The engine runs very strong and starts right up and idles just as it should. The carb was just cleaned out with new fuel lines put in and other hoses and belts. The transmission shifts as it should but has not been gone through in a while. You will have to adjust the linkage to your driving pattern. The truck does not leak any fluid whatsoever so all seals are good. These items were replaced last month:
Alternator
New Battery and Terminals
New Belts, Hoses and Fuel Lines
New lights for the headlights, taillights, etc.
Carb fully cleaned
New transmission seals
The tires on the truck would need replacing as they are older. They do hold air and can be locally driven but I would not go over 45 miles an hour with them. An alignment would also need to be done. I have the original radio that came with the truck and will include in the auction. The brakes would also need to be replaced as they are older and likely will not work at higher speeds. The original air snorkels will be included along with the lid for the carb.
For additional pictures of the undercarriage and the engine bay please message me through Ebay and I will send you the link as I could not post any more images. I have a link to an additional 50 images.
This is a really rare find folks, an original Lil Red Express. It is not a 15k mile showroom piece but a really nice truck that could be show winner someday!
Don't let this one get away!
Thanks for looking!
