Car description

Pictured is my 1966 CORONET 440ci 4bbl STREET CRUISER. This well cared for MOPAR muscle car has been upgraded with a 440ci BIG BLOCK topped with Holley 4 barrel carb and backed up by a crisp shifting 727 automatic transmission with an 8 3/4rear end, upgraded from theoriginal 8 1/4. Touch the key and the engine roars to life easily without so much as having to step on the gas pedal. New dual exhausts provide the exquisite big block sound of a MOPAR 440ci. Nothing quite like it. This car is equipped with headers so the exhaust is wrapped from the headers to the mufflers to prevent heat from the exhaust coming up through the floorboards. Wrapping the exhaust made a huge difference as header exhaust is hot. Radiator is a new, 4 core all aluminum radiator with plenty of cooling capacity should A/C be added in the future. New gauges were installed under the dash and you can see in the picture of the gaugesthe engine oil pressure and charging are exceptional. Brakes with a dual master cylinder are new all the way around. Exterior paint is just over one year old. Tires are brand new and sit on a set of 15" rims with classic vintage MOPAR hubcaps. The interior is exceptionally comfortable with the front bench foam having been replaced. The car has a new headliner, reupholstered seats front and rear, new black carpet and repainted dash with a restored dash pad, which I think is better than the original. The gas tank is also new, as are all 4 shocks. This car was not originally an Air Conditioned car. So I took the A/C ready dash from my 66 Coronet parts car and replaced the original dash, painting it the nice red that is shown. Again with the idea of adding A/C at some point in the future. The steering wheel is a new Grant wheel. All of the head lights and tail lights are in good working order. The radio is original but does not work; however, I have installed new 4-way rear speakers so all you need do is add the sound of your choice. A complete front end alignment was done in January so the car drives nice and straight. All of the lights and switches work well. This is a turn key big block Coronet in very, very nice condition. All the new owner need add is his or her own touches. Please realize the car is for sale locally therefore I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Car is sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied. Having said that, I have done everything I know to do to make this car ready for it's proud new owner, and will be fully cleaned and detailed prior to shipping. I will assist with shipping in any way possible, however, shipping is the responsibility of the owner. Any questions simply ask.
