I am listing this Charger R/T for my friend Jeff. Feel free to call him at 717-575-4561 to ask questions or schedule an appointment to see the car in person before bidding.
Up for auction is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T 440 4 speed with A33 Track Pak
A real R/T VIN : XS29L9B180310
Car still has its original 440-375hp engine & original 4 speed transmission ( each have the original VIN stamping).
Car still has its original (rare optional) A33 Track Pak 3.54 Dana 60
We recently purchased this car from a fellow here in Pennsylvania who had owned it since 1977 & drove it approximately 9,000 miles over the years.
Today the car still wears the same amateur body work & paint job that it had in 1977.
Prior to 197, tan vinyl seat inserts, tractions bars, headers, Thrush mufflers, a correct am-fm radio & a trailer hitch were added to the car.
We found the car covered in dust sitting in a garage up on jack stands & learned it had been stored like that since 1986. (one of the photos show car as we found it. Note the "trailer hitch" that we later had removed).
Over the years while the car was up on jack stands, the prior owner replaced the wheel cylinders, brake shoes, ball joints & had putnew tireson the car. He also did some detailing of the engine bay.
After we purchased the car we washed & cleaned decades of dirt from it. (We did NO polishing or touch up of the old paint or any detailing of car)
We had trailer hitch removed, changed oil, replaced battery, replaced gas tank, added fresh gas, checked fluids & tire pressures.
Engine starts right up easily, sounds great, runs strong, oil pressure is very good & runs cool
Amazingly the driveline does not drip any fluids on the garage floor
We put 2 miles on it. Clutch & shifting seems great.
Engine sounds awesome, seems powerful & runs smoothly. brakes seem strong &car feels solid.
Gauges all function, interior lights & dash lights work, dash mounted reverse warning light works, heater fan works, wipers & electric washer works, am-fm works, horn works, turn signals & 4 way flashers work, all exterior lighting works, headlight doors work, doors loc, etc. The clock is not working. All window glass is original with an exception of the windshield.
40 year old amateur body work & paint job loaded with flaws, scratches & chips
Front fenders & doors are solid with a few bubbles. Hood has some filler at front from being dented ( not rusted). Rear quarters have rust.
Car should be completely stripped & repainted
The original floors & rocker panels never had rust. Trunk pan has some rust.
The interior of the car is presentable & useable as is, but carpet needs replaced.
Car will need some chrome & part of the black plastic grille needs replaced.
Look closely at the photos. (Please call with any questions)
