I purchased this car in October, 011 with 74100 miles as a running, riving survivor car with no evidence of rust or rust repair in need of mechanical freshening. Already owning a "trailer queen", he intent with this car was to actually experience driving a well sorted Hemi. The car was delivered to renowned Hemi expert Larry Shepard of Akron, H with instructions to inspect all mechanical systems and restore them to 100%.The 426 Hemi, arburetors, nd torqueflite transmission and rear end have been remanufactured. Brakes and suspension have been restored and many other worn parts, or example the heater core, eplaced. The exhaust system includes headers and electrically operated "cut outs" for fun. I do still have the factory original exhaust manifolds. The interior and trunk have been completely restored including covers, arpet, nd trim pieces and the panels and headliner have been refinished. Those familiar with the '66 and '67 Chargers will be pleased to find the electroluminescent dash (plus radio) has been restored as well as the rotating headlight assembly. Receipts and photos have been collected to document. The car has been driven 1500 miles since restoration. This is a factory hemi car, ut the engine and transmission are not original to the car. It is a real pleasure to drive and, n my opinion, s the kind of hemicar to own. The reserve is quite reasonable and should allow somebody the thrill of driving a strong running hemi without breaking the bank.
