(Only one motor will be sold with this car unless you can replace it with another 340.)

I recently put this 1969 Dodge Dart on Ebay 2 weeks ago and it bid up to $4,150.00. I received lots of emails on questions I could not answer, o I decided to spend the last 2 weeks completely going over the car inside and out.

This car sat in a barn behind a house for many years. It was last tagged in 1991. The Texas title reads the same. The guy said it had a new motor in it but has not started in 20 plus years. This car also came with, e says, riginal block warranty in trunk of car. I can not tell you if this motor lived in the car ever but sure fits the date spot-on. Also, his car was covered completely with duct tape and plastic. They had media blasted it 20 plus years ago. It is truly a real barn find preserved!

I brought it home and just put it in my storage until I listed it on Ebay 2 weeks ago. Not doing my home-work, put it on a trailer and stuck it on Ebay just like it sat. Emails filled my line up with: Is it the original motor? How much rust is on it and under it? What gear ratio is it?... and so on. Now 2 weeks later I think I can finally answer every ones questions. I went over this car with a fine tooth comb. Starting with cleaning out the interior with all the grill and chrome parts. Cleaning out the inside to find the most preserved interior I have seen in a long, ong time. The headliner is near perfect. The seats are near perfect, o cracks. The dash looks great. All the interior rubbers still look and feel awesome. Door panels and handles look great. All windows roll up and down like they were never used. Carpet is bad, ats and mice took care of that. All the glass in the car is near perfect. Need no glass including windshield, o cracks or bad spots even the rubbers around the glass inside and out are in awesome shape. Floor Shifter Hurst with 4-speed knob. Seat belts and shoulder belts some missing on drivers side.

Now the body inside and out: There is absolutely no rust-through spots in the floors. When I pulled the rear seat out the floors still had paint on them, edium green color. Trunk pan is great with the exception of one spotabout 1" long. Nothing in quarter pockets. Under the hood all the fender wells and firewall perfect. Lifted car up and every spot under the car, ails, loors and rockers need nothing. This car was preserved so well. It has been years since I have seen one in this great shape.

Now for the worst part: The outside body has dents every where, ome small and some bigger on sides only. You will need about a week of a good body man to straighten her up and that's it on the body. Sanded down to bare metal and there is only one spot, eft lower front fender that has rust on it about the size of a dime.

Now the drive-train: Motor 340 1971 with AAW 360 J heads with remote drag pack oil filter. Hooker competition headers. Original 4-barrel intake with Holley 650. Drained oil and had a little water in it. May be moisture from 20 years of sitting. Put battery in it, y the way it is in the rear of the car along with the fuel cell from way back then. Turned car over and no fire but fuel was there. Has an accell distributor in it from back in the day. Took it out and put point distributor in it, it the key and instantly fired up and idled with 75 pounds of oil pressure. Shut off pretty fast, on't want to hurt anything, ut we all know it will need a going over from sitting so many years. Probably best to put the warranty motor back in it to keep it original. Put it on the rack and ran it through the gears and it shifted like it should, ith positrac wheels both turning the same direction

It is without a doubt a positrac or a locker, on't know what gear ratio though. Latter traction bars and H-pipe exhaust. They built this car to run, o question about it.

Has a super nice grill on the car, o damage and also 340 hood scripts in very good shape. No brakes, ut will have. I ordered brake line hoses, ront and rear, o be able to stop it.

So I gave you all out there everything I know about this car and have decided to say, ithout no question, t is one of the nicest original preservedDarts I have ever seen. You can have this car running and driving in a very short time with little money. I have set my reserve a lot higher than before because I can't replace if for the money I am asking.

I have the right to end this auction at any time.
