I'm selling my 1968 Dodge Polara that I have owned for the past five years. It's a hard to find two door hardtop model.Just selling because I don't have much time to drive it anymore, nd I hate to just see it sitting there,Overall it's a nice original survivor, can't verify the mileage hasn't rolled, ut looking at the condition, would bet that's original mileage. It looks to of been garaged, nd I have kept it garaged since I've bought it.This is the condition I bought it in with a few exceptions.Condition as follows:Engine and drivetrain:All in original condition, o signs of any major work done to it. I have recently replaced plugs, ires, oses and fluids as normal maintenence. The engine cranks up and starts/runs just fine.I have replaced the 2bbl carb with a rebuilt carb. The exhaust is new dual exhaust using turbo mufflers from a new Challenger, t sounds good without waking the neighbors. No major leaks, ust a little seepage here and there, ut for an original engine it's pretty good. The A/C don't work, he compressor makes a loud rattle when engaged, ll the parts are there and with a new compressor and freon it should be okay. (I've unplugged the A/C clutch for now)Don't have any issues with the rear end or u-joints, nd the car shifts fine. I did replace the rear leaf springs five years ago when I bought it because the original ones were sagging.Electrical:Pretty good, sual gremlins in this age car, uch as the right turn signal sometimes not working, on't remember if radio was working last time or not. I replaced the brake light switch because it was hanging up, ut no major issues. Gas gage is not working, idn't work when I bought it, ut I have a brand new sending unit that I will include with the car.Brakes:Four drums, ads and drums are good. Stops like a car with four drums, ust like it did in the day. I do have a new master cylinder I'm throwing in, never installed it thinking it my help but this one was fine- just drum brakes.Tires:Brand spankin' NEW. Old ones were dry rotted so I replaced them earlier this year.Interior:Pretty nice, hen I purchased it the previous owner had recovered the seats, nd replaced the carpet. The dash has two cracks in it, ut overall pretty nice. The headliner is up there but is getting pretty fragile and has a rip in it and could use replaced. There are also misc. trim items that could use addressed, ut overall it's pretty clean inside.Body:It was repainted by the previous owner more than five years ago, he car looked like this when I bought it. There has been ZERO issues with any paint bubbling up or signs of rust underneath. This body is as straight and solid as they come. As far as I can tell this car has always been garaged, nd not driven in the winter, r driven little in the winter. Some of the trim is a little dented up and the normal pitting and aging of the chrome is there. The underside is solid, ith only some surface rust.Overall the car isn't perfect, ut it shows well and is a good driver quality paint job.I would like to see the car go to a good home. It's nice to go to CAR SHOWS and be THE ONLY ONE THERE with a 1968 DODGE POLARA.Of course I ask - DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE $$$$.NO SCAMMERS - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!I will work with you on picking up the car, nd working with shippers.I do ask for the money up front - $500 PayPal deposit, nd a balance by cashiers check in 7 days.Sorry no personal checks, r paying for the car when you pick it up.(If your unsure about buying a car on ebay- THEN DON"T, o what's comfortable for you.)Thank You for looking!
