I bought this 1979 Dodge little red express adventurertruck from a estate sale in southwest min back in 2012. It was a one owner truck that the family sold when the registered owner passed away. I have a copy of the original title in his name along with the original registration etc. This truck has been in my collection since. I have used it as a daily driver on nice days back and forth from my home to my work about 30 miles away and driving my kids to the local trout streams.
Mechanically, his truck runs great and sounds amazing. When I first bought it, had a mechanic go through the whole truck for me. He recommended I put a remaned 727 transmission in which I did( seals were dried out from sitting and it shifted hard) He also replaced the interceptor 4 barrel carb (approx. $600) The 360 v8 engine is running great with lots of power. This truck really wants to move!
The interior of this truck looks extremely clean and it has the rare bucket seat option. The leather looks good on the seats (like new). The floor pans look rust free and the carpeting is in good shape. I pictured any minor flaw I did see. I purchased new lil red floor mats that go with the truck. The glass is all good and the windows go up and down with ease. The doors open and shut and latch the way they should. This truck is one of the cleanest survivor lil red I have come across. It is mostly original paint. I was told that the previous owner replaced the front left fender at one time. It still has the original wood in the box that has held up well. It has the, rom what I can tell, he correct lil red wheels and tires. The tires look good with good tred.
The exhaust is new. I replaced the original mufflers through our muffler shop straight to the exhaust stack pipes (over $600) (watch video to hear how awsome they sound) The dash looks good with no cracking, saw that the silver paint aroud the guages was thin. All of the guages are working along with the radi, lights, tc, the gas guage comes and goes) The chrome looks good overall and shows well. (i took pics and video of any flaw in the paint, hrome, ed, ody etc so study them to see what this truck is. Again I would say it is one of the nicest original survivors I have seen that you can use as a daily driver without spending the big bucks that these trucks generally bring.
This is truly a collector item that is only going up in value. Included in the sale are the original receipts, riginal manuals, tc. It is currently register with a numbers matching title ready for you to register it. The winning bidder would have a ball taking this to car shows and cruises without having to put money in it. Every body values a survivor different so I recommend that you come and inspect the truck yourself by appointment or have ebay do a independant inspection for you. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end, f I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can recommend shippers I have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions at all, lease call 563 568 5111 or 563 568 1182, hanks and have fun bidding on this rare 1979 Dodge Lil Red Express truck!!!
