1957 DODGE D100Ok MOPAR fans, p for your bidding pleasure is a 1957 Dodge D100 Pickup. This is a "one year only" front end design. These trucks are rare, eriod. When I got this one, did not realize how rare it was. The truck did not have a driver's door and driver's side rear fender. The passenger door was very poor. After months of searching, got 2 repairable doors and 2 really good rear fenders. Almost half of the cab floor was replaced with new metal and it was welded in. Both doors were repaired at the bottom and are now in very good condition. All other parts: hood, ront fenders, ed, ront facia was sandblasted and painted. I wanted the patina to remain on the outer side. The frame, ear end, nd all suspension parts were cleaned and painted. The tailgate is intact and works fine. I replaced the bed floor with pressure treated wood. There are very few original gardeners on this truck. Literally every bolt, ut, r screw has been replaced. I have rewired the whole truck front to back: headlights, aillights, rake lights, auge setup, nd speedometer all light up. Also has electric radiator fan. As for running gear, used a B-body 8 3/4 rear end and did axle flip to lower rear of truck. I removed 3 leaf springs up front. It's still not as low as I had hoped for. I used a rebuilt 225 slant six with 904 transmission. Why a slant six? Why not! I wanted something different than the crowd, ust like this truck! Everything on the engine is new. I installed disc brakes on the old girl as well. I got the adapters from Scarebird Classic Brakes. All new lines, oses, alipers, otors, ads, nd master cylinder. The seats are vintage 1972 motor home seats that are sitting on a frame I made. Rear glass and weather strip are new. I have repaired vent frames with new glass not installed. Still needs door glass cut. Have all the door intervals that still need done. I built this truck for just a local knock around truck and it does that great. It is tagged and insured and drives almost daily. Is it ready for a roadtrip? Probably not at this time. Wiper motor does work, ut blades and arms need work as do the windows in the doors. New dual exhaust from manifold to bumper. N50x15 tires on 10x15 ET vintage wheels. I have been to 2 cruise-ins where it was greeted very well. Most folks had to ask what kind of truck it was (some could read the tailgate.) The reason it's for sale is simple: I have a '65 Plymouth coming out of paint and I cannot afford to do 2 projects. No title for this vehicle as for the state of Alabama only requires a bill of sale for a vehicle of this age.Questions are welcomed, ut please serious inquiries only! $500 deposit through PayPal is required 24 hours within sale unless other arrangements are made. Thanks for looking!! :)
