This Dodge M37 is not an original in every respect. But it is damn close. The only thing that is not original is the paint & tires. The seats have probably been recovered. And of course the removable flashing beacon. The truck was part of the Wyoming or Montana (I forgot which) Fire Department after its Army Service. There is some red paint visible on the inside top of the steel (arctic) cab top.I thought it was original under the hood. But the the plugs &distributormay not be waterproof. The vehicle has 13,644 miles & was delivered on 2-16-53. The data plate identifies it as a Model T425.The only issues are that the bed has surface rust & several very small rust holes. And as shown bed floor is a bit banged up. The bed is still very solid. Apparently during its fire service it carried a water tank. The 2 door windows & the rear window are cracked. It still has theoriginal24 volt setup. It runs great. It starts easily with alittle pull of thechock. It has about $1,200.00+ in the tires alone made by ''Specialty Tires of America''. They are the more modern military tread. The spare is brand new. ''Coker'' sells the sametire for $260.00. The tires on this vehicle will probably never wear out. As slow as this truck is it would take a long time to wear them out.As far as I can tell everything works. The vehicle is listed locally & may be removed. If a bid is received I WILL NOT end the listing.Hello from Jerome, daho. I am retired from from the army & my wife & I are enjoying life & ebay.
