Car description

I am selling my lovely collector Dakota convertible pickup as my retirement income does not enable me to keep it anymore. The truck comes with the original Mag Wheels that came with it originally. I got the steel wheels and had them painted to match the car and added the beauty rings and moon hubcaps to give it a more retro look - which I really like. I replaced the black painted front bumper with a new chrome model, had the black rear bumper chrome plated as I could not find one ready made to match the original Dakota rear bumper. I also replaced the black grill and headlight bezels with chrome plated models. Gives it a much more upscale appearance? The original factory convertible top operation and maintainance manual comes with the truck along with a number of other small add ons. I was going to put a new white convertible top on it until I realized that I could not afford to keep it. New convertible tops are available in many colors and materials and sell in the $300-400 range plus installation. This vehicle has always been stored inside and only taken out in nice weather to go to car shows and roll-ins. I have owned the truck since December 13, 000. I am currently getting about 18-20 MPG with mixed highway and city driving. Truck has an automatic Transmission with electric overdrive lock-in/lock-out. The transmission was rebuilt about about a year ago . The radio and tape player work fine. The Air Conditioning works fine and blows nice cold air. The frame for the bed cover is clamped to the box and I was told by the previous owner that no holes have been put into the box to mount the frame. I have never personally had the frame off to verify this. The cover snaps onto the frame. There is a molded plastic liner in the box to protect the box. I am going to miss this vehicle a lot and doubt I will ever have the money to buy as nice a vehicle as this is, ut propane for heat and electricityfor light are more important to me than a nice vehicle that I only drive once or twice a week to car shows or roll-ins for 4 months of the year. eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
