Car description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed.I don't think there's another car quite like the DeTomaso Pantera. The combination of sleek Italian looks and raw Ford power creates an exotic car you can really enjoy, without worrying about outlandish timing belt changes or $2,000 water pumps. This stunning 1974 model shows 47k miles and combines the timeless lines of the Ghia's original design with a few practical modifications. The result... is a reliable exotic that drives as good as it looks. The Marti Report states this car was sold new in North Carolina. It is a rust-free specimen (definitely important when it comes to a Pantera) and received a high quality repaint in its original Grabber Blue. This included the engine bay so you can proudly show off the running gear. The front was changed to an early split bumper setup and a Sugar Scoop spoiler was added in back. All trim was painted black which is a great fit for this color and also captures the GTS look. And finally the car was fit with wider 17" wheels wrapped in Z-rated Michelin tires (245 front, 315 rear). The car has a number of performance improvements to go alone with all the cosmetics. The suspension was modified with adjustable coilovers at each wheel for better handling and easy height adjustment. The engine received some aftermarket parts and a larger exhaust. The cooling system was upgraded with a Pantera Performance aluminum radiator with shroud, dual fans, and hood vents. And the air conditioning system was upgraded to a modern Sanden setup with R134a refrigerant. This Pantera has its original numbers-matching 351 Cleveland engine along with Ford's 4-barrel heads with their monstrous ports. Upgrades include a Crower camshaft, Mallory ignition components, and an Edelbrock F351 intake wearing a Performer carburetor with electric choke. The exhaust note sounds terrific throughout the rpm range. The ZF transmission shifts smoothly which is not always the case with these cars. Half shaft shields were installed to keep the engine bay clean. The steering is precise and the power 4-wheel disc brakes are firm and even. The interior was redone at the same time as the paint and has a few custom touches. It was done in blue and black to match the exterior motif. The leather sport bucket seats are very comfortable with side bolsters and headrests, while the woodgrain pieces on the dash and console give a rich look. All gauges work properly as do the headlights, horn, turn signals, parking brake, and wipers (the arms are not installed but are included). The fiberglass engine tub is also included along with a space saver spare, metal engine cover, and Deluxe Marti Report. This really is a lot of car. It is a great example of a legendary design with just the right blend of cosmetic and performance improvements. And I don't think there are many 45-year-old vehicles that have aged as well as the Pantera. It still looks at home among modern exotics yet remains easy to maintain and fun to drive. I'd say that makes it very unique indeed.
