So these were the first to get the real hot rod treatment, and this coupe celebrates that history. The correct-style Chrysler flat-six was bored and stroked to 277 cubic-inches total. And it has been dressed for showing off with a red aluminum Offenhauser-style head. There are also nice practical upgrades like an alternator and Optima red top battery. Plus, underneath the large and bright air intake are dual Carter carbs. The performance camshaft and custom machined main bearings with larger oil passages are a few of the thoughtful details. This enhanced motor also exhales better thanks to a proper split manifold to create a true dual exhaust. You have full control over this unique powerplant thanks to the column-shifted three-speed fluid drive transmission. And since the rear end has both a limited slip and overdrive gear, this classic is a true cruiser.
