Here's a very rare and very complete 1958 DeSoto FireFlite 2 door Sportsman hardtop. When is the last time you saw one for sale? Very few of these cars were made and their survival rate is dismal. This one is clearly a project, but is very complete. Life-long Kansas car that was left in the field for decades. PS, PBHas rust in the floors and rockers, headlight eyebrows are rusty. Frame and undercarriage/suspensionis very solid with no rust, trunk floor is very decent with no major holes, but may have some weak spots, rear tail pan is solid . Left door and hood are good, right door and decklid have rust and need replacement. Has all window regulators, handles, etc. Hood hinges are good and move freely. Bumpers are good with no rust, but need rechromed. Windshield and right side glass broken, back glass and left side glass good. Car is mostly complete. Have door moldings and right upper quarter molding. Missing left fender lower molding and right fender moldings/medallion. These are the same as on a 4 door so not super hard to locate. No 2 door hardtop-specific parts are missing. Dash is complete minus radio. Car also comes with an extra dash panel, gauges, emergency brake pull handle, wiper arms, glove box door, twin strut fender mirror. Has a vintage underdash A/C unit, and is complete, BUT this car also comes with a factoryA/C system out of a 58 Firesweep. May have a couple missing items, but is 99% there, including the entire dash panel, inside and outside evap cases, compressor, pullies, metal lines, dash vents, etc. So, when restored you can install the factory air setup if desired. Car has all 4 hubcaps, all door trim and interior trim panel moldings, extra taillight tower, andextra headlight bezels. Lots of additional parts come with the car. Original engine is complete. Not running, and I have not tried to turn it over.Original colors are Spring Rose with a white sweep. This car was a knockout when new. Car will have a clear title. I have had it inspected and have sent off for a title. Car rolls and steers fine. Yes, she's rough, but it is a super rare car that deserves to be restored, especially back to her original Spring Rose and white. Can get more photos, just ask.
