Car description

I have decided to sell my baby. This is an excellent running car with extremely low mileage. This car has been well maintained through out its lifetime. I drive the car on weekends and take it out on the interstate. The car runs nicely with no issues. This is one of the nicer Delorean's out there in my opinion and it has been well cared for. Ok I left quite a bit of stuff out and I have had quite a bit of questions regarding certain things. The exact mileage is 10,937. I drove the car after listing it to work and back which was around 80 miles round trip. It was a great last ride for me and was I blaring out some old cassette tapes during the ride. This was highway and street use and the car ran great. I have only driven the car every couple months when the weather is nice. It stays under cover 99% of the time. The car is mostly original. I got the car from the original owner and he kept great records of the car. The reason why the stainless is flawless is because there was about $1500 worth of work done to the car by the stainless wizard Chris Nicholson. If you know anything about Deloreans you will know who he is, f you dont know go check him out on youtube. There wasnt any major issues with the stainless but he did repair some imperfections and pot marks throughout the car. I have the documentation to prove it. There were 2 other issues I forgot to mention as well that are very minor. There is a small piece of paint flake on the front fascia on the driver side corner about the size of a dime. You can see it in one of the pictures. Also the headliner is sagging slightly right in the center. I know this is miniscule but I want to try and be honest as I can. I have noticed that a lot of the Delorean auctions dont go into a lot of detail. I would advise anyone interested to come take a look at the car first if feasible or atleast ask as many questions as possible. I know buying a car sight unseen can be stressful but I tried to post some good pictures of the car so you can see what you are getting. I would have no problem getting in the Delorean and taking a couple hundred mile road trip and not have to worry about it breaking down. The only thing that would worry me is the cracking in the tires. They are about 70-80% tread life but are aged. I believe this car is on its third set of tires. They have had to be replaced due to age, ot wear. Of the things that need to be addressed on the car, have most of the parts already to do it, just havent had the time. I have my sights set on getting something else and have decided to sell the car. And I DO HAVE THE TITLE IN HAND and is ready to be transferred. I think you will also be more than pleased with the ammount of documentation that comes with the car and the extras. There is a lot of it. Being a Delorean owner is awesome. Just be prepared to be bombarded with questions, hoto requests etc when out in public. I also took the car to one of our local car shows and took first place in the open class 1980-1995. This Delorean is just an all around great car. And since I have owned it I have had to only do minor repairs and general maintenance. I understand that finding a Delorean with 10,000 miles on it means that it was either never driven or left in a barn somewhere. Well this one was just never driven but wasnt neglected. If you have any other questions keep shooting them my way and I will try to answer them as best as I can. I also have an original framed document that was signed by John Delorean himself authorizing a purchase of a steel press that I may let go with the car as well.

Here are some more pictures of the car. Also all the struts have been replaced recently with Grady struts. There is also a small crack on the rear louvre support (Delorean production issue) that I also added in the pics. This is he reason why they designed a metal brace you can install in the center for extra support.
