Car description |

A absolute trulygarage found 1981 DeLorean formerly owned by NHRA's Bob Glidden! This DeLorean has not seen a road in Indiana since August of 2013.A little history on the car...it was purchased in 1981 from Collins Oldsmobile Indianapolis Indiana. A few years later the original owner sold the car to NHRA's Bob Glidden in Whiteland Indiana. During Bob's ownershipthe DeLorean had a few changes made such as the springs were cut to give it a lower stance, a racing type kill switch was added behind the passenger seat to cut power from the battery in case of emergence or prevent power draw, and it was fitted with a custom stainless steel exhaust from Cosworth... yes Cosworth. Bob sold the car to the guy I bought the car from in 1987 still in the Whiteland Indiana area. So the car has stayed within 20 miles of where it was purchasedall its life.Previousowner has listed that he has replaced the alternator, blower motor, shocks/struts, clutch & pressure plate, radio, rear light board and windshield.
This Delorean has not been started but does crank. The car will need some tlc but is a fantastic core car with a very interesting history. Car is located in Nashville Indiana and has a clear Indiana title. Only blemish that I have noticed on the body is a fingernail size ding on the driver side quarter panel (see pic)I do have a copy of the original purchasers certificate from The Delorean Museum and documentation on previous owners service history.
