Car description

OK folks, this is an auction for a 1983 DeLorean with build date late April 1982 making it a late model year run car. These were a short production run car so this had the best timeline for working out any bugs of the first generation 1981 cars. You know what these cars are, I will describe what this car is. PLEASE - ask lots of questions and confirm all answers to make sure this is the right car for you.
This car was sold new in 1983 to Dorothy, a sweet " lil' ol lady " from Palos Verdes Ca ( an extremely exclusive Ca beach resort town - right up the street from Trumps golf club resort ). She is the single owner of the car to this day. She is a long term car lover and was a Mustang club judge for many years ( her husbands 1968 GT 350 Shelby is for sale on my other auctions ) This car was pampered and meticulously maintained while it lived in it's controlled garage. It was driven to shows, groceries, cross country DeLorean rallys and has 91K miles on it. We took it out for a drive Sunday July 15th to Trumps resort/golf club where they have a very fine brunch buffet I might add..... Everything worked perfect as it should. No broken or malfunctioning items. Minimal signs of wear = drivers seat leather has some wear/creasing to leather which results in a noticeable color change lighter in the creases. It has had general maintenance i.e. oil changes, wiper blades, tire, filters etc. The only major repair was a new clutch around 75K miles. The car has 1 small ding approx. less than 1" long at the rear wheel opening radius on the drivers side. It is shown in pictures. She took very good care of the car and had professional level maintenance. When we took it for a drive, it started right up and idled normally. It took off down the road and accelerated normally, handled well and rode smooth. It steers flawlessly and stops smoothly. All in all, it just runs and drives very well regardless of age, even at 35 years old. Dorothy's husband Brian showed me around the car. He knows these cars well and was able to answer all questions. I am a Mustang guys, as is he, and after the walk around, Q&A and test drive I am very confident that this car is a very rare example of high quality of the 80's Icon. Please feel free to ask questions and I will see if I can get an answer quickly. 8054608124 If car does not sell at reserve, it will be coming with me to Barrett Jackson Vegas in Sept 18.
